This project was brought by a small yet passionate group of students of Building Engineering-Architecture at the University of Rome, Tor Vergata, interested in Italy’s great engineering history of the 1900s.

We want to make this important fragment of our historical heritage known and that we often have before our eyes without even realizing it.

With this site, we have decided to tell the story of the Autostrada del Sole, surely one of the symbols of our engineering’s golden age that summarizes all of its identity: from the search for beauty to the attention to history and art, from craftsmanship to the  humanist approach of construction site practices.
